Lululemon says it competes on brand, quality, style and price with global and local makers and sellers of athletic clothing and shoes, including established companies and new brands. Biggest risks, in its own words
- Damage to its brand, or losing shoppers to rivals and new brands, could cut its sales and profits.
- Failing to predict what shoppers want and to keep making new products they like.
- New US tariffs and the end of duty-free treatment for low-value imports, which have raised its product costs.
- Its reliance on a small number of overseas manufacturers, mostly in Asia, and possible supply disruptions.
