About Stoqly

Stoqly is stock research read straight from the source. We take the financial statements US companies file with the Securities and Exchange Commission and turn them into clear pages, charts, screens and stories.

Where the numbers come from

Financial statements come from the SEC's EDGAR XBRL data — the machine-readable versions of each company's 10-K and 10-Q. Insider trades come from Form 4 filings. Prices are end-of-day closes. Every company page links to the filing it was built from.

How we calculate

  • Free cash flow is cash from operations minus capital spending.
  • Return on capital is after-tax operating income over debt plus equity, minus cash.
  • Net debt is debt and finance leases minus cash and short-term investments.
  • Market cap is the last close times the latest diluted share count, so it is approximate.
  • The fourth quarter is the full year minus the first nine months, because companies don't file a separate Q4 report.
  • Piotroski F-score counts nine pass/fail tests of profitability, funding and efficiency.

Our stories

Stories are written with the help of AI from figures in our database and the companies' own filings. Every number is checked against the source data before publication, and every story lists its sources.

Not advice

Stoqly is for information only. Nothing here is investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.
